Here is a link to a film about a direct action at the sixth of december, when clowns and Santa Clauses occupied the niedersachsen state parliament in Hannover for protest to close down nuclear power stations worlswide.
It shows creative action and the police violence against it.

Hey ho clowns!
I's just surfing around on your homepage, 'cause I like the idea of the clown army. Due to the fact that I'm German I can translate the text. Translation for you:
------------------------

At the 10th Castortransport (Castor=Barrel to transport nuclear garbage) this year into the wendländische (Wendland=part of North Germany with Gorleben in it) interim store Gorleben the Clown army was attracting attention with their refreshing funny and exciting way of acting. At the preluding demo on Saturday, the 11th of November they went between the espalier of the policemen at the interim store and were copying their postures. People passing by stopped amused, asked policemen for a smile.
In Glen eagles, the place of meeting of the G8 in Scotland the clowns army were represented, too. Fooling the powerful is the weapon of the small people, as shown by jesters, who mirror the authorities and create new possibilities of acting for other activists.

The Clowns were in Harlingen on Sunday, shortly before the radiating train was awaited in the Göhrde (small area, where Gorleben is). A Clown ran up the embankment to the rail and shouted to the policemen: "It's the birthday of someone of yours! Michael is his name! Who is Michael? We came to congratulate!" Two other clowns ran behind us forest walkers and shouted to us:"They are so alone here, keep company with them while they're celebrating. -", and again upwards: "- So, where is Michael?!"

I'm looking forward for many clowns next summer at the baltic sea. (G8 in Heiligendamm)

------------------------

So that's it! Sounds much better and funnier in German, but I hope this translation will make you understand at least a little.

Adios!
